Mag’s old friend turned up a week after her own funeral, and she brought company. The best medium in New England came through the wall of Balms and Bygones trailing every spirit she collected on the way over, and she will not follow the light until somebody finds out what happened to her client’s missing fiance. Then she discovers she cannot get back out the door either, and the Balefire sisters have a permanent houseguest with opinions.
Everyone in Harmony says Bradley Graham skipped town in the night to get out of marrying Stephanie Huffington. He left a note, so the chief will not call it a crime. But Bradley walked out before dawn without the briefcase he never went anywhere without, and his wallet turns up on a roadside with the cash still in it. And Stephanie keeps having a dream that feels far too much like a memory, in which she kills the man she loves.
No body, no crime, and a bride-to-be begging to be arrested.
A warm, funny, ghost-filled cozy witch mystery set on the coast of Maine in late autumn, book 4 in the Mag and Clara Balefire Mysteries.
